Welcome to our blog! We are pretty much your typical couple, going through the adventure that is life. We met at a wonderful coffee shop/local music venue in 2006 and got married three years later. We have lived in a tiny downtown apartment in Michigan, an intentional community with college students, and now as a family of three (our bulldog is our baby) in historic Franklin, Tennessee.

Our lives led us to Tennessee in search of warmer weather and our dream jobs. Nate works for a video production company, shooting and editing video. I am a teacher at an amazing preschool that is artistic, nature-based and collaborative.

We enjoy good coffee, being outside, cooking, playing kubb (look it up if you haven't played!) and going to the dog park. Up until now our life has been pretty calm, but we expect that's all about to change as we are adopting a child from Taiwan! We are at the very beginning of this journey, but are amazed at the ways our hearts have been prepared for this. This blog is to keep our family, friends and others in the adoption community posted on where we are at and what we are going through. Feel free to comment, ask a question, or share your story!

  2. This is awesome! It's obvious this is God's leading and I'm so excited to see how He uses this waiting period, in your lives.

  3. Congratulations to both of you, Nate and Lyndsey, for your great project of adopting a child. I read the news of your situation on your blog, from home... We are so far away, but I can feel that is a lot of emotion for you, and for you Lyndsey. I 'll watch the progress of your adoption on this blog. But as you say, after complicated time for the moment, I wish you the following and the result will be a great happiness. I'll often support you in my prayers. I'm with you, and you are in my thoughts.
